Estate, a notorious word representing the home of one third of Hong Kong people. Every public housing in this city are named after “estate”, a cage-like machine where low income group, new immigrants , the elderly and most of the minority people are being settled, carrying the seed of good and evil of our city.
The three stories in the film, like puzzle, come from different households who live in the same estate - the West Estate. Love, solitude and freedom, they might not be coherent, but, when you put them together, a subtle and unresting picture sets in, the veiled face of the city then becomes crystal clear.
